二年部于 2007 年 9 月 19 日下午在阶梯教室组织了一次别开生面的英语演讲比赛 , 目的是为了提高学生的英语学习 , 激发外语教师更高的工作热情 , 加强与外籍教师语言 , 文化等方面的交流 .

此次活动 , 以“迎接奥运，保护环境“为主题。吸引了年部很多同学参与比赛，最后有 23 名参赛选手进入了决赛，经过了激烈的角逐。决出一等奖 2 名，二等奖 4 名，三等奖 17 名。受到了师生的关注和好评。

我校两名外籍教师和四名英语教师担当此次赛事的评委。选手们流利的口语和精彩的表演，展现了我校学生良好的精神面貌和语言素质，对其他同学的英语学习也将产生不可估量的作用。

ENGLISH SPEECH COMPETITION IN GRADE TWO

Grade Two hosted an entirely new sort of English Speech Competition on the afternoon of 19^th ,Sep. in the lecture theatre. It aims to promote English language learning in Grade Two, arouse English teachers’ enthusiasm for English teaching and strengthen the linguistic and cultural exchange with foreign teachers.

The topic for the competition is “Meet the Olympic, Protect the Environment” and this competition has drawn the attention of many students in Grade Two,23 of whom attend the final competition at the end . After the heated competition , two contestants got the first prize, four contestants got the second prize and seventeen contestants got the third prize. Their wonderful performances are thought highly of by all the teachers and students.

The competition was mediated by a panel of six judges, including two foreign teachers and four English teachers of Grade Three. All the contestants’ fluent oral English and wonderful performances on the stage show their good mental outlook and talent for language learning. It will have a tremendous influence on the other students for the English learning .

May our motherland be more prosperous and powerful . May all the students make further progress in study.
